Why Can’t I add Products to an Opportunity?


Users might be unable to add Products to an Opportunity, even if they are using a RIO Inventory License, and they’ll get an error like this:




This can be fixed by assigning them the RIO Inventory Permission Set that comes installed with the package.


If you’re unsure of how to assign the permission set, follow these steps:

1. As an administrator, go to Permission Sets in the Setup Menu and locate the “RIO Inventory Permission” Permission Set





2. From that Permission Set, click the Manage Assignments button.




3. Click the Add Assignments button and then select all the users who you need to give the Permission Set to.





Once this is done, these users will now be able to add Products to Opportunities.
