Salesforce Summer ’18 release has introduced us to sub-folder for Reports & Dashboards. What does sub-folder do? It allows you to have a main folder with multiple subfolders within it.
Currently, Salesforce only allows folder sharing at the root level. The issue with this is that if you want to share a sub-folder, you must share the root folder too.
Wondering how to use this feature? All you need to do is turn it on. To turn on go to Setup > enter Folder Sharing in the Quick Find Box > the select Folder Sharing > select ‘Enable access levels for sharing report and dashboard folders‘ > then select Save.
Check out the Salesforce documentation here to learn how to turn on Enhanced Folder Sharing.
